Exegesis....

This is my last post for study....The choices I have made for my blog are to reflect my theme which is Art and Design. I have almost completed my degree and I will using this blog to not only represent my career ambitions but also to document the journey of  this new adventure and as my title suggests some unexpected contributions. I hope documenting my journey to fulfill my dreams will inspire people to realize that anyone can achieve their dreams regardless of where they come from and what they have. Being a mother and wife are obviously very important to me , my family is my life but I am also an individual who has passions and interests and goals.
So now to the technical aspects regarding my choices for my blog. I have used the holiday theme because basically I like the transparent black background. I love black, it is a colour I use frequently in my art but the transparency is a reflection of myself.A solid colour feels like I am blocking or masking and as I am very open about who I am I chose the transparent theme. The background image is a work from my study, it is colourful and is ambiguous in its meaning. The choice for font is to give a journal like feel and i think reflects an old style of handwriting.I always hand write in my study whether it is documenting my Art, or drafting an essay and my handwriting is a little elaborate. From teenage years I have always incorporated some older style cursive, I love how beautiful handwriting was in early times and see it as quite artistic. The colour was chosen to enhance the font, soft and feminine and to pick up colour from the background.
I have added Flickr, Facebook, and Twitter as my three contributing nodes. I think these were the best choices as Flickr can be used to display images , Facebook can be used as a networking tool and twitter can be used to document short observations and thoughts about what interests me.My links to other sites are reflective of Art and Artists that I love and sites that I will use in my Jewellery Design Business.

tantrums and tiaras and tantrums

So now i have been sitting at my laptop for 3hrs working on my blog and by golly me I have my profile and about me page done , woohoo. I am a genius, or so the IQ tests say! My tiara is lying on the ground glistening from the sweat that has accumulated and is now forming a wet patch on my carpet. I am hopelessly lost as I navigate the pages adding gadgets and widgets , whatever the hell they are and then deleting them, because I don't know what they are! I started writing my Exegesis but have to keep returning to the online dictionary to remind myself of what it means...... and besides that it sounds really boring. So I am going out side for a ciggy and a cuppa .... I shall return, perhaps.....
